Ideas on making politics more honest.

Post  TnPartsGuy on Thu Aug 21, 2008 2:08 pm

I have an idea (or 6). #1, never re-elect ANYONE. Let them serve once, then shoot them in the head.

#2. If you're holding an elected office, you MAY NOT run for any other office. IE, if your mayor of Nashville, you may not run for governor, or if your a congressman, you can't run for president. UNLESS you are willing to foot the bill for the special election to replace you.

#3. If you're holding public office, you cannot have ANY stocks, bonds or any other holdings. Put it in a regular savings acct and draw 2~4% for the duration of your tenure in office.

#4. Taking money from ANY special interest group should be a jailable offense.

#5. If your president, you don't get paid unless the budget is balanced, and the deficent is lowered. PERIOD.
