I shop @ Wal-Mart so I don't guess I dislike them that much. They are usually cheapest on a lot of things.

Walmart is evil

Post  TnPartsGuy on Mon Sep 08, 2008 12:42 pm

Evil or Very Mad

When old Sam was still alive, he made sure that most of the products were at least assembled here. A lot of it might have been 'made' elsewhere, but at least a lot more of the money stayed HERE. He also didn't allow vendors to set-up shop in town. If they wanted to come see him, they flew in and saw him, then left. After he died, the family got so greedy that they did anything and everything to sell out America. Now at least 90% of all good (other than food) comes from.......anyone? anyone?

CHINA.

Read these facts, and you'll avoid Walmart. Just like I do; havn't stepped foot in one this calendar year, and don't plan to.

The Ruination of Bentonville AR

Post  TnPartsGuy on Mon Sep 08, 2008 1:07 pm

Mr Sam Walton tried not to let Walmart ruin his small town. Too bad his heirs don't feel like he did.

I really hate Wal-Mart and not even because I worked there while attending APSU. It's just since I moved to Nashville that I developed such a disgust for that store. There are two Wal-Marts within a 4 mile stretch of road where I live. Everyone refers to the one as the "Mexi-Mart" because it specializes in carrying ethnic items (I hope that's politically correct, lol). I only shop at Wal-Mart when I absolutely can't get to another store for whatever reason. Food Lion is my choice because the employees are friendly, the store is always clean, and the prices are much better than Wal-Mart. I happened to find myself at Wal-Mart the other day and decided to get a couple of food items while I was there. ALL of the biscuits in the cooler were out of date. ALL of them. I brought it to an employee's attention and luckily he started removing them right then and there; but I have found that to be a common problem at these stores. Always check the expiration dates on your food!

My favorite is Target, which they finally have a store here in Kingsport. I also shop at Food City, which is a local chain. The Walmarts up here aren't near as bad as the ones in Nashville, but they still attract the unsavory type.
