Working Conditions

Well, so far we've been lucky, lay-offs havn't hit us; until today. Each department has to come up with $2,000/mo in savings, other than mine. Why did I get an exemption? Because I cut out all my expenses a few years ago, and keep a tight control on them (so tight that I drive the office manager INSANE watching what she charges off to me.) My department has also been in the black for 5 yrs. I've come close to red ink a few times, but all in all, I play it really tight here. Anyone else facing the belt-tightening yet?

Not yet. We just hired two new folks at my work. This will bring our total of employees up to 19.
